The transfer fee to take Franck Kessie to Al-Ahli has been revealed as the Ivorian midfielder has completed his move to the Saudi Pro League side.
The former AC Milan and Atalanta midfielder completed the move to the Saudi side yesterday and the fee has been revealed.
According to Barcelona’s website, in which they wrote a goodbye statement to the midfielder, they have revealed that the deal to take the midfielder to the Middle East was €12 million, in what could well be a bargain for the midfielder.
Al-Ahli have already made some world-class signings this summer with Allan Saint-Maximin, Riyad Mahrez, and Roberto Firmino their front three heading into the new season.
The midfield has been a source of weakness for the Saudi side this summer but with Kessie, they have the midfield steel and the creativity that the Saudi side will need if they are to battle for the Saudi Pro League title.

“FC Barcelona wants to take this opportunity to publicly thank Franck for his commitment and dedication, and to wish him all the best and every success in the future,” the statement read on the Spanish sides website.
“Despite not being a consistent starter, he played a key role during the season for Xavi Hernández’s side. He featured in 43 games, starting in 16, playing a total of 1803 minutes for the Club, mostly in the second part of the season.
“Allied with his strength, power, and reading of the game, the midfielder has shown his hunger for scoring goals, including at key moments, and for assisting in important games. “
The Spanish side signed the 26-year-old midfielder on a free contract from AC Milan last summer but really struggled to make an impact in Spain and was almost the second choice in the midfield box of Pedri, Gavi, Frenkie De Jong, and Sergio Busquets.
